Yes. To enter Israel, travel medical insurance is mandatory. All foreign nationals wanting to visit Israel must provide proof of a travel medical insurance policy with coverage for COVID-19 treatment. For more information, visit the Tourist Israel website.
Why should you buy travel insurance to visit Israel?
To visit Israel foreign travelers must have a travel medical insurance policy that covers COVID-19. Additionally, most primary health insurance policies do not cover you or provide limited coverage once you leave your home country. For those reasons, travel insurance is essential for travel to Israel.
Trawick International travel medical insurance provides the proof of coverage you need to enter Israel. We recommend purchasing a comprehensive travel insurance policy, as it will also include coverage for trip cancellation, travel delay, and trip interruption. For a fraction of your trip cost, you can add extra protection that can be vital in case of an emergency. Our Trip Cancellation policies also offer benefits that provide coverage if a terrorist attack occurs and disrupts your trip.
Do the trip cancellation plans from Trawick International cover COVID-19?
Yes, Trawick International travel insurance plans treat COVID-19 like any other sickness. To learn more about how Trawick International plans provide coverage for COVID-19 related concerns, please visit our COVID-19 FAQ webpage.
Optional Cancel for Any Reason Coverage
Trawick International offers the hard-to-find and rarely available Cancel for Any Reason benefit on select Trawick International trip cancellation plans. Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) provides reimbursement for up to 75% of the prepaid, nonrefundable, forfeited payments you paid for your trip if you cancel your trip for any reason not otherwise covered by this policy - like border closures, travel bans, or if you just decide that you do not want to travel anymore. This coverage MUST be purchased with the initial policy and within 21 days of the initial trip deposit date, and the full, nonrefundable trip cost is insured. (This benefit is not available in every US state).
How much does travel insurance cost?
Many factors including the age of travelers, trip cost, and length of trip contribute to the cost of travel insurance. So the price of a travel insurance plan will differ for each trip. Travel insurance will provide enhanced protection for a fraction of your trip cost if something were to go wrong.
When should you buy travel insurance?
Travel insurance can protect you against many things depending on the type of plan you purchase. For example, if your trip was disrupted because of a hurricane and you had trip interruption coverage as part of your trip cancellation plan, you would be eligible to receive reimbursement for that part of your disrupted trip as long as your policy was purchased before the storm was named.
