Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) is option available on Trawick Internationals Safe Travels First Class and Safe Travels Voyager Trip Protection Plans. CFAR provides a partial reimbursement (75%) of the insured prepaid, non-refundable trip costs when you cancel your trip for a reason not listed on the policy.
You must quote one of the below plans and add the Cancel for Any Reason benefit within the specified time frame from the initial deposit date. When counting the number of days you have to purchase one of these plans with Cancel for Any Reason upgrade, the date you first made a reservation or deposit for your trip is considered day one. This optional upgrade is a time-sensitive and must be purchased within the time frame listed on that plan - either 15 or 21 days. To qualify for the CFAR benefit, you must insure your entire trip cost. To use the CFAR option when cancelling your trip, you must cancel your trip in its entirety, at least 2 days prior to your scheduled departure date. Please review the specific plans below for a list of available benefits and limitations/exclusions.

Safe Travels Voyager
The Safe Travels Voyager is designed for those who are looking for the highest available benefit limits to protect your trip. This plan covers trips up to $100,000 for trip cancellation and includes a $250,000 per person limit Primary Medical Coverage with coverage for Pre-Existing Medical conditions on plans purchased prior to or with final trip payment. Includes minimum coverage of $2,000 for potential accommodations/lodging expenses. COVID-19 MEDICAL EXPENSES may be covered and treated the same as any other sickness. Meets Costa Rica Travel Insurance Requirements.
The Optional Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) provides reimbursement for 75% of the prepaid, non-refundable, forfeited payments you paid for your trip if you cancel your trip for any reason not otherwise covered by this policy. Must be purchased with initial policy and within 21 days of the initial trip deposit date, and the full, nonrefundable trip cost is insured. To qualify for the CFAR benefit, you must insure your entire trip cost. To use the CFAR option when cancelling your trip, you must cancel your trip in its entirety, at least 2 days prior to your scheduled departure date.
This plan is only available to U.S. Citizens and U.S. Residents and can be purchased for trip costs up to $100,000. It includes $250,000 of primary Medical Coverage and Trip Delay of $2,000 for accommodations/lodging expenses.
Upon purchase, you will receive a visa letter that you can upload using this link - https://salud.go.cr - to the Costa Rica Health Pass website and complete the required paperwork to get your QR code to show airport authorities upon arrival to Costa Rica.
